We want to film over the weekend of 10th & 11th October, so will be getting the camera out on Friday 9th October. Over this weekend we plan to get the majority of our filming done with the shots on the town we will hopefully shoot most of them in town on the Saturday & on the Sunday we will have the band and will film them either inside/outside the supermarket.
From this we will look at what we had got shot from that weekend, and then decide from there if we need more footage, and what of then when to take a camera out over night to get the remaining footage.

Target Audience
Our target audience would ideally be all ages from late teens onwards, obviously not too young, but would probably be more popular with people around the age of 15-25. Our certificate for this would be certificate 15 as some lyrics may influence them into negative behavior. We feel people under 15 would be more easily influenced by their controversial lyrics and this may lead to negative behavior. For example, 'You're gone, Sleeping in the dust, We will not let time erase us' as it briefly relates to death.
Not suitable for persons younger than 15. Persons younger than 15s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The content is strong in impact.

Goodwin's Points
- Genre Conventions. The Genre of The Hush Sound is Indie/Alternative Rock. Our music video will folllow these conventions as the video follows the girl going about her daily life & favourite places from home, to the bus stop, on the bus, at the music shop & supermarket, this is conventional of the indie genre. It will also follow these conventions with a performance and a different/Alternative performance being in a supermarket. An example of an indie band whos video follows them through out their could be TheView - Same Jeans as it follows him from his bed to his bands Gig. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQzW2aKjoRo
- Lyrics & Visuals. We could link our lyrics into a couple of places through out the video, for example for the lyrics 'we will not let time erase us' we came up with the idea of a shot of a clock but the hands are moving fast indicating that time is going quickly. We also thought that for 'A dark congregation of familar faces' would be good for when shes waiting at the bus stop as she'd recognise whoever was waiting from waiting there with them everyday. When we cut the singing into the video it should be in sync when we finish it.
- Music & Visuals. We will have the relevant instruments to the song in our video. We plan to have a band, hopefully performing in somewhere different like tesco as it is altrernative & to use a piano in a music shop. We make the band & piano playing in sync when we cut it into our video.
- Demands of the Record Label. We can't really promote the real band as we do not have them & we can't link our video to any of the hush sound's as they don't have any.
- Voyeurism. The idea of voyeurism could be relevant when she is in her own little bubble and everything seems great.. as this is what she's feeling and what you wouldn't usually know about her.
- Intertextuality. We could link The Hush Sound's existing albums into our video through a poster or CD at the supermarket, But when we're at the Supermarket we want to be filming down the frozen food isle as the lyrics to the song are quite cold with lyrics like 'Soft snow', 'Our breath rose in the cold' & 'Our lips were cold as clay', So the only way we could sneak the CD in would be a shopper walking by with it in their basket.

Digi Pack
DVD Cover
For our DVD cover we researched several other bands of the same genre and their CD covers to get an idea of the right style for our own DVD as they are usually the same or very similar. We like the style of Muse's Cover art for their single 'Uprising' it suits the genre because its unlike any other covers.
We also liked the cover for Paramore's Single 'Ignorance' as its also unique, Both this and the Muse cover are photos not drawings/Paintings
Then we looked at some different DVD covers. We found some for Muse which were live DVDs, one we found was of their Live Absolution tour after the release of their Absolution album.. the images are similar but not exactly the same, they both give off the same effect with the shadows.
We liked Madonna's DVD cover aswell as it is of her but she is made to look like Marylin Monroe who is a icon, its also in a similar style to Andy Warhol paintings of Monroe. It also seems rebelious, like the Punk style of Blondie, which is more clearly shown in the art work for Madonna's CD Album cover for the same album with the same Monroe Style & the same colours as the Blondie image.
From looking at existing DVD covers we can see that they usually link to the Album art in some way.. usually using the same image but tweaking it slightly, either changing the colours/wording/composition. Most artists of the same genre as we're working with dont usually have DVDs of their music videos but just of their Live perfomances from that album, The artwork they use is usually similar aswell, like the Muse artwork were they have changed their model & the angle from the album.
Poster/Advert
As we had already looked at Muse for our research for the DVD cover we searched for their posters. For the album they had another version of the absolution photo as their image on it, the title, band name, realise date and a website. We then looked at tour posters which seemed to had some sort of image relating to the band at the top & their band name/logo with the dates underneath. The knights of Cydonia tour poster seemed to sell more of the band as it has the band name, dates and info, but also sells a single as 'Knights of Cydonia' is a single off their Black holes & revelations album also having a similar artwork to what the single art is.
As we liked the style of Lily Allens video we looked at her tour posters. Both her poster promote her with both showing her image & name, they also both have a image of her album in the bottom corner to promote that and of course her tour dates. They also advertise downloads and promote the singles already released whilst giving the information on the tour and where to buy tickets from.
For our DVD cover we are going to have a picture of the lead woman on the front in black & white and the background around her is going to be bright and colorful. This is a similar idea to one of their previous album covers 'The goodbye blues' where they're in dull colours and their surroundings are more colorful. We also thought that for our poster it would be a similar image but at the top, tour dates underneath and other information.
