This our idea with a little colour, Just to give and idea.
&& This is an idea for a possible Tour Poster..
It incudes informations about where the tour is taking place, where tickets are available and promotes the band, their new single and bands websites. I think i may put abit more information into our tour poster like the release of the album with an image of it and an itunes image & website. As you can see we have chosen to use continuity throughout our digipack in this case using the same image for both, for our final version we may use the same image, if now then i thiink that our images would be very similar. In the poster i use the colour picker tool and took a sample colour from the image, just under the end of sound and used it as the background colour and then decided to use a brown colour for the text as it would stand out, and used this for all the info on the poster. I did the text using GIMP2 which is similar to photoshop and so i used a text from there switching through the different bold/italic versions of it, the text was DejaVu Serif Semi-Condensed.
Evaluation of Rough Cut. AsYou can see we haven't got alot of our footage yet, so instead we have just put text telling the view what should be in that place. Over half term we are planning to get a camera each and to all get some footage done which we can choose from to put into our video when we come back, our video will include some lip syncing which i hadn't put into the rough cut as we're not sure where it will come in the video. The footage should be of any everyday life and it is just an example in the video, it may change once we come back. But, with the footage we have we have been editing it and trying out lots of different techniques in it like threshold and a mirror effect.
Holding A Shot Steady We have a shot of the person taking the camera around her life, standing looking at herself in the mirror for a couple of seconds. Variety Of Shot Distances We only have two long shots and they will feature different angles and shot distances. Selecting Mise-En-Scene We are going to show the character wearing quite Indie clothes, we already have the shot of the town which is quite an indie thing to do. Using Varied Shot Transitions We are going to use some transitions when we go from the two different shots.

I was thinking for the filming over half term because the filming was done in cambirdge city centre i could also take some footage of that as it is the same urban area, and i could do some filming where my home is placed as it's kind of fits the scene, so i am going to get hold of a video camera take some of my own footage so when we come together (Me, Pia and Holly) after half term we could take some film of both of the camera, and use what we think is appropriate, at least we would all be working together and not having to just depend on one person so it's a bit fair for us all!

<--- Also i could film where we previously filmed, in the city centre seeing as i live roughly about 15 minutes away so it wouldnt be so much of a change of scene.
We Plan do get filming more filming done by the time we come back from half term, this means that filming will take place over half term and i will need to find my own camera and get it checked by the college this week so that we can be sure that we'll be able to get some filming done. The filming will be of any everyday life.. i.e. Waking up, Getting up and ready, making breakfast, riding a bike, going out.. etc. We do have some set ideas for what we want from this, we want the footage to be from our point of view and will introduce the lip syncing through a mirror or in a similar way. I will probably use my bike for the bike footage and put the camera in my basket... my only problem is that the footage we currently have is in an urban area and i live in a very rural area, also the footage of the bike in town is a different kind to mine so that may be strange.

We've decided that we are going to test out some ideas & footage. Hopefully we will find our own video cameras or borrow some from friends this weekend as we can't take the college cameras out for another weekend again. The plan once we've found these cameras and had them checked by long road is to film from our point of view.. through our eyes, i.e. waking up, making breakfast etc. then going on the bike.
After meeting up in town, we decided not to waste any time waiting until we'd found 'the girl' to mime for us. This was because the girl we had planned to have mime for us had work and so was unavailable and other people we asked we're either busy or didn't want to do it. We came up with a range of ideas which included... and decided that we would test some of them out first before we dedicated ourselves to just one idea again. However, The idea we like best is of the camera being hand held used as if it was what the main person could see for their point of view, we also thought of the main person holding the camera facing them as they mimed/got on with things. This technique has been used by various indie artists in their videos. i.e... The video has lots of different techniques used throughout, it also has some short man terrorizing Jamie.

The video follows her from leaving her front door to getting on her bike, and then it follows her from the bike as she bikes around london (LDN).. the shots are a mix of what she can see with the camera attached to her bike, shots of the camera facing her whilst she sings along, Behind, infront & to the side of her biking.. there are also clips of her in a cafe and sitting in the park.
From this version of lily's LDN video, we thought of the video of Corrine Bailey Rae, where shes riding a bike in it. She is singing on her bike & it also cuds away to her in a corn field singing.. these clips are also linked with her having a red ribbon on her bike, then holding it in the field & tying it to a tree with other red ribbons on at the end.
Another Video that has this idea of what the person can see is the video for, Kanye West - All falls downhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPWqsIClPqU In this video you can see through his eyes.. but can see him in reflections of the car window and a mirror, in these he sings so there is some lip syncing by him there. The viewer can tell they're looking through his eyes through due to the reflections, him looking at his hands etc.

Today is the day of are shooting, but unfortunatly kim can't make it. So me and pia are going to come up with a slightly different plan, are idea might change quite a bit. We are not going to waste today. We are still meeting up tomorrow (sunday).
Ok so now me and Pia met up and got sum footage to our video, but we have decided to take some shoots out as they weren't working and add some better ones. We spent about 2 hours recording some shots today and are going to show kim on monday and see what she thinks, i will also write out the new shot list and story board. We are not filming 2moro as we would rather see what kim thinks and get a sturdy story board to base it on.
In response to Group T2-44 'You've pointed out the main character in your storyboard but have lacked to continue through your storyboard.' We didn't realise that this wasnt clear enough and so we will go back and make sure that she is pointed out in each shot, She is in every shot as the video is about her and her daily life so we assumed that this would be clear.
& from Group T2-48's feedback ' you could spend some time explaining your choice of location more and explaining the relationship between music and lyrics.' The locations we chose were related to her daily life so their boring & repetitive, so we felt that Cambridge would be an obvious place because its academic, boring & busy, with commuting being challenging. We also chose Tesco (in ely) as it will be easier for holly to transport her kit to there, and we also wanted our performace to be somewhere different, for example we're next to a river, which seems idealic relaxation. Our reasons for choosing a music shop for the shots of the girl with the piano is basically because we don't have a piano and this could be part of her daily life, as she wishes to play the piano. It is also an alternative place for the performance. We also have related our video to some lyrics, with the clock hand moving fast as in the lyrics it says 'we wont let time erase us', we also linked 'congregation of familiar faces' to the bus queue.
Overall we are pretty pleased with our feedback, we've received lots of positive comments on our blog and also some constructive criticism that we can work on.
Hi, this is group t2-48 A lot of great preparatory work has gone into the planning of this music video. The looking at existing music videos and explanation on target audience determines the structure of your music video well. However, you could spend some time explaining your choice of location more and explaining the relationship between music and lyrics. Yous sincerly Group 48
Loads of information about the digi pack, very clear about where you are going. Great examples with the Muse CD covers and the Marilyn Monroe pop art. And the Blondie approach to the DVD cover.
The blog kept us very interested throughout with the related images to text. It was obviously well researched.

well detailed story board, good use of vocabularly (such as handy cam wide shot, long shot etc). Easily to show someone who is not familiar to the idea of what the music video is about. Also good research of the the location of the music video shown via the photos.
You've pointed out the main character in your storyboard but have lacked to continue through your storyboard. We're presuming from the first shot that you're doing an establishing shot to show who the artist is and when surrounded by others is pointed out. Try to make your main artist identifiable. (:
Good work on the background, your inspiration for digipack work is smart and experimental, lot's of work into posters and albums shows your interest in it!

- The themes will probably be a crazy serial side to what the real world looks like. - We wouldn't use the same people unless we did their video again. - i suppose we would use some of the same structure throughout as that's how we are designing videos.
- We are going to have quite a few of close ups to accent the main woman singing. - we are not going to use any female objectification as it's indie genre. - We would probably use the same effects in some of our other videos. - We also would not use any product placement unless it was linked to the artists.
